Dr. Jennifer L. Walden is returning to her hometown of Austin, Texas to be closer to family and to set up her plastic surgery practice anew. Originally from Austin, Dr. Jennifer Walden went to The University of Texas at Austin and was later accepted into medical school. She was the Salutatorian of her class and studied plastic surgery, as she was enthralled by the artistry and the creativity behind it.
After college, Dr. Walden moved to Manhattan and set up her thriving practice. She enjoys assisting female patients with their desire to look more attractive and is able to inherently understand them in a way in which male doctors cannot. Harper’s Bazaar named Dr. Walden in its list of 24 best beauty surgeons in 2016, and she currently serves on the board for the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
In New York, Dr. Walden trained with some of the top surgeons in cosmetic surgery and appeared on many television programs as well as in several prestigious magazines. She is also the the author of the book, ‘Aesthetic Plastic Surgery’, and has won awards for her work in her field. Dr. Walden is a believer in the value of hard work and has always prided herself in doing everything to the best of her ability.
In 2011, Dr. Walden gave birth to twins and decided to move back to her hometown of Austin to have the assistance of her large family. She says that having it all is certainly possible for a woman today, but not without support. She credits her mother as having provided guidance as well as help and for being her role model in life. Dr. Walden left Manhattan and set to work to reestablishing her practice in Austin.
Dr. Walden has her own operating room in the same building as her offices and does 99% of her surgical work there. She has an arrangement with the hospital nearby to nurse patients overnight should they need it but says that the majority of her operations are outpatient. Her operating room is of the highest standard and is fully accredited by the AAAASF.
