Waiakea Water Makes the Inc. 5000 List in Glorious Fashion

The Waiakea Bottled Water Brand has found its way to the number 414 spot on the Inc. 5000 list for the fastest growing companies in the U.S.A. The ranking is completed every year by Inc. Magazine, and their new showing means they rank higher than companies like Patagonia, Zappos, Timberland, Under Armour, and more. Their massive growth of 1,059.3% during the 2 year span between 2014 and 2016 has a lot to do with the ranking, and the founder and CEO of Waiakea Bottled Water, Ryan Emmons said that he was extremely proud that his company made the Inc. 5000 list. He believes this is good proof that a company focused on sustainability can thrive in today’s market.

Waiakea Water is the creation of Ryan Emmons and is a sustainable water company that gets its water from a pure, alkaline source. It is unique in that it is Hawaiian volcanic water, and the idea came from the fact that Ryan and his family had been drinking the very clean water for years and figured they could bring it to the rest of the world. The water, itself, is filtered by running a distance through the Mauna Loa volcano and is loaded with minerals and electrolytes including the very important nutrient, silica. The fact that it is naturally an alkaline water with a ph between 7.8 and 8.8 also makes it very special, because most alkaline waters are made so through an ionization process that fools the body into thinking it is receiving more minerals than it really is.

When people first hear that Waikaea is a bottled water brand, they may think it is not a sustainable company bringing this water to them. This simply isn’t true, because Waiakea is actually the first premium bottled water companies to serve their water in 100 percent recycled polyethylene terephthalate. Not only does this mean it takes much less energy to make the bottles, but it also means that the process of making them puts out 90 percent less carbon emissions than other bottles do. On top of this, the bottles are BPA-free, which is important to people who drink water and other beverages with their health in mind.
